Coaching

Often leaders need a safe place to process their challenges and thoughts. Leadership coaches are thought partners that are skilled and trained to listen actively and ask powerful questions that result in change.

Coaching is not consulting.

Consultants bring expertise to fill in a knowledge or process gap. Coaching acknowledges that you are the expert on your leadership and organization and that you can generate the thoughts that lead to change and results.

Ask Yourself

What is coaching?

Professional Coaching is a collaborative partnership between a qualified coach and an individual or team that supports the achievement of extraordinary results, based on goals set by the individual or team. Through the process of coaching, individuals focus on the skills and actions needed to successfully produce their personally-relevant results. You could use a coach if you:

Have a desire to develop leadership skills and support a leadership development
Have a desire to accelerate results
Are feeling ‘stuck’ or lack of clarity with choices to be made
Desire to identify your core strengths, along with how best to leverage them
Have a need for self-reflection, development and change

What do coaches do?

Coaching is an approach to conversations that combines the essential skills of active listening and asking powerful questions that generates the results and objectives set by the individual or team.

Ask Questions

Coaches ask powerful questions that encourage you to think of things in different ways. By asking the right questions, the coachee has the opportunity to find their own best answers.

Listen Deeply

The coachee is the focus. A coach listens to what you say, what you are trying to say, and what you are not saying.

Provide Feedback

From time-to-time we are not aware of the impact our beliefs, actions or our words have on ourselves and others. Coaches can help leaders more clearly appreciate their impact.

Create Accountability

Coaches believe that the coachees are responsible for their own success and solutions. They are supported to discover their own solutions and take purposeful action.

Acknowledge Progress

A coach provides encouragement, compassion and acknowledgement. Coaches understand that and acknowledge the effort the coachee makes.
